Last week I attended the launch of Jenn Air’s new line of high end kitchen appliances and I must say they are beautiful. One lucky attendee actually went away that night as a winner of a JennAir stove, refrigerator and dishwasher – an $8500 value! We were all hoping for that one.
The launch introduced many technological advances and design improvements. These appliances really will compete with the best there is in kitchen appliances. Sub Zero watch out, Jenn Air is on the move.
The that was most noticeable about the line at first glance is the new finishes that were unveiled. They presented an oiled bronze finish plus a floating glass finish, available in either black or white.
The oiled bronze is a rich, warm finish with brown tones that will work beautifully in some kitchens. I picture a Tuscan style kitchen with oiled bronze faucets, plus now refrigerator, wall oven, stovetop, stove and dishwasher. So all of you who have installed oiled bronze light fixtures, sinks and faucets, have a look. Matching appliances are here!
I must say, the floating glass finish is absolutely amazing! The black particularly looks unlike anything that is available now. It is a lush charcoal color, quite unlike anything on the market now and quite beautiful. A kitchen with all appliances in this finish would be very elegant and high end looking.
I think that these are the new trends in kitchen appliances. For years everyone has flocked to stainless steel, even though it can be difficult to keep clean, but now there are three other very classy finishes to choose from.
So what do you think? Are oiled bronze and floating glass the new trends to watch out for in kitchen appliances? Or will the stainless steel domination continue? Post a comment here and cast your vote. Is stainless steel here to stay as the top choice, or is there room for it to be pushed out of the way by some a few innovations?
